Trenton Middle School is committed to providing quality instruction and assessment in every classroom on a daily basis. Instruction is expected to be learner-centered, challenging, engaging, and based on real-world applications. We utilize our curriculum to ensure that all of our students become responsible and productive adults in society through the acquisition of essential knowledge and skills.
I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and a Master of Education degree in Education Administration, both from Texas A&M University-Commerce. I began my career teaching high school science for Commerce ISD and Howe ISD. I also served four years as an assistant principal at Piner Middle School in Sherman ISD.
My wife, Dena, moved from teaching middle school Reading and English to be a high school librarian. We have two sons, Tucker (4 years old) and Finley (1 year old). We spend our free time working with the Amazing Little Hearts support group at Medical City Children’s Hospital, which helps families dealing with congenital heart defects. We are also active in our church and enjoy traveling and spending time with our families.
I am very excited to begin my time as a Trenton Tiger! I look forward to working with our students and parents in the upcoming year. I encourage parent involvement and participation, as this is one of the keys to student success.
